Cookie Policy
Last updated:
The short version
- The tool itself needs no cookies: your Gmail access token is kept only in the memory of your browser tab.
- We store your language choice in your browser so the site opens in the right language.
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity use cookies to measure how the public pages are used. Clarity never runs on the scan screens.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are not stored until you give consent.
- You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser.
2. What we use
- Strictly necessary. Local storage key `invonest_lang` (no expiry until you clear it): remembers your language choice. Cloudflare may set security cookies such as `__cf_bm` (30 minutes) to protect the site from bots.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4. Cookies `_ga` (up to 2 years) and `_ga_<ID>` (up to 2 years): distinguish visits and sessions so we can count visitors and see which pages are useful.
- Analytics: Microsoft Clarity (public content pages only). Cookies `_clck` (1 year) and `_clsk` (1 day) on our domain, and `MUID` (about 1 year) on Microsoft's domains: link page views of the same visit for heatmaps and anonymized session replays.
- Advertising: Google AdSense (not active yet). When ads are enabled, Google may set cookies such as `__gads`, `__gpi` (up to 13 months) and `IDE` (up to 13 months) to show and measure ads and, with consent where required, to personalize them.
- Google sign-in. When you connect Gmail, Google's sign-in window may use cookies on Google's own domains (such as accounts.google.com) under the Google Privacy Policy. Inbox Invoices does not read them.
Exact cookie names and lifetimes are set by the providers and may change. See how Google uses cookies and Microsoft Clarity's cookie list.
3. Consent and Google Consent Mode
Google tags on this site run with Google Consent Mode. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage is set to "denied" by default, so these cookies are not stored and Google receives only cookieless signals that cannot identify you, until consent is given through a consent banner. Elsewhere, analytics cookies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the website, and you can object at any time as described below.
4. How to control cookies
- Browser settings: every browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data, either for all sites or for inboxinvoices.com only. Blocking cookies does not stop the tool from working.
- Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Google ads: manage or turn off ad personalization in Google Ads Settings, or at aboutads.info.
- Private browsing: a private or incognito window deletes cookies when you close it.
5. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when we add or remove a service that uses cookies, for example when ads are enabled. The "last updated" date at the top shows the current version.
